Pain Disorder
DSM5 defines pain disorder as the present of pain that is the predominant focus of clinical attention. Psychological factors play an important role in the disorder. The primary symptoms is pain in one or more sites that is not fully accounted for by medical neurological condition.
The pain is associated with emotional distress and functional impairment.
